Monthly Character Lessons for Home
A person’s character is revealed by what they say and how they act even when nobody is looking.
Kindness: the choice to act with words, gifts, or actions to bring appreciation, positivity, and encouragement to others and yourself.
Respect: seeing good in people and things (and treating them with care).
Cooperation: Working together and helping others.
Empathy: the ability to understand and connect to the feelings of another.
Gratitude: choosing to notice and appreciate things in our life, things in others, and things in the world.
Honesty: living truthfully in your words and actions and thoughts!
Responsibility: to take action and understand how our choices affect others, ourselves, and the world.
Courage: to choose what is good, right, and kind, even when it’s hard or scary.
Perseverance: the ability to work through situations even when there are obstacles or challenges in the way.
Creativity: Using your imagination to create something or solve a problem.
