Welcome to the New Lobit Elementary School Pk-5 Campus! 2025-2026

Beginning with the 2025–2026 school year, Lobit Elementary (PK–3) and Lobit Middle School (4–5) will come together as a single, unified campus serving students in grades PK–5 — all under the name Lobit Elementary School.

This transition is part of Dickinson ISD’s long-range planning as we prepare for the opening of Lago Mar Elementary in 2026. The new structure will provide a more cohesive educational experience with consistent leadership and support across all grade levels.

What to Expect for 2025–2026:

  • Grades PK–5 will now be housed on the same campus.

  • Start and dismissal times for grades 4–5 will remain unchanged.

  • All students will share one unified cafeteria menu.

  • A dedicated leadership team will support student success, including
two assistant principals for grades PK–3 and two assistant principals for grades 4–5.

Mrs. Melody Lilley, who currently serves as principal of Lobit Middle School, will lead the combined campus as principal of Lobit Elementary. Her deep roots in the Lobit community and her passion for academic excellence make her an ideal leader for this next chapter.

We are excited to move forward together and are grateful for the ongoing support of our Lobit families. Here's to a great year ahead at the new Lobit Elementary School!

We are excited to announce that beginning with the 2025–2026 school year, Lobit Elementary (PK–3) and Lobit Middle School (4–5) will officially combine into one campus serving grades PK–5 — all under the name Lobit Elementary School.

This transition is part of Dickinson ISD’s long-term planning as we prepare for the future opening of Lago Mar Elementary in 2026. The new structure allows us to better serve students with a strong academic foundation and consistent leadership across all grade levels.

What families need to know:

  • Grades PK–5 will now be housed together as one campus.

  • Start and release times for grades 4–5 will remain the same as they were when housed at Lobit Middle.

  • Cafeteria menus will be unified — the entire campus will share one lunch menu.

  • A dedicated leadership team, including four assistant principals (two for PK–3 and two for grades 4–5), will provide targeted support across grade levels.

Mrs. Melody Lilley, formerly the principal of Lobit Middle School, will lead the unified campus. Her experience and commitment to students make her the perfect leader to guide this transition.

We are thankful for your support as we move forward together, and we look forward to an exciting year ahead at the newly combined Lobit Elementary School!

With Gator pride,
