Hi, I'm Ms. Lemelle and this is my 15th year of teaching but my first year in Dickinson ISD. I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University. I teach 4th grade math & science. I am available to meet with parents during my conference, 2:50 - 3:50 or after school. Call the school at  281-229-7400 or email me at klemelle@dickinsonisd.org.

Hello students and parents, I hope all of you are doing fine and are healthy. This is an usual situation our country is in, but we have to make the best of it.

In the mean time, I wanted to give parents and students some advice and ideas for fitting in education everyday while at home. Parents can give the change in their pockets or purses to their children to count and check if they're correct. When getting gas for the family car, point out the price per gallon and ask your children what would be the total cost if you got 10, 25, or 30 gallons of gas? At home in the kitchen, ask your children how many 1/4 cups are in 1 1/2 cup of milk or rice? They can calculate on paper or by actually measuring out an ingredient. Math is everywhere! If you have internet access and a tablet, computer, or a smart phone your children can always get on Symbaloo on our district's website and play math games such as Prodigy. Discovery Education has some great science videos they can watch too.

Continue to look for math and science opportunities for your children to learn around the house! Take care and God bless.

Ms. Lemelle

Ms. Lemelle

Choice Board

This is the last Choice Board for the 2019-2020 school year. Students will use this board for the last 2 weeks of school. It is an enrichment board, meaning they are assignments that give students an opportunity to apply what they have learned throughout the year.

Although these assignments will not be graded, we expect students to participate and finish out the year by choosing and completing activities listed on the board each week.

Due to Covid-19, unfortunately we missed our scheduled Field Trip for this year.

On Monday, May 11, 4th grade teachers will be set up on Campus, in the bus drive, to return field trip money from 10:00 am-4:00 pm.

If you paid for the field trip, please plan to visit the campus sometime on Monday between 10:00-4:00 to receive your refund. If you cannot make it to the school Monday please contact your child’s teacher.

Teachers will be following CDC standards, wearing masks and gloves, with no need to sign for your return. You will stay in your vehicle and the teachers will hand you the envelope with the money inside. We will be documenting the return of money to each student’s family.

We greatly appreciate your patience and flexibility on the matter.
