“Pennies for Polio” is a program created to educate and involve local schools in the work that Rotary International and its Polio Eradication partners have undertaken to eradicate polio worldwide.

As part of the educational component of the program, students will learn about polio, how other children have been affected by the disease, the importance of eradication, and how global health will be impacted once it is fully eradicated.

They will also play a primary role in helping Rotary eradicate polio by collecting coins through the month of February to help immunize children half way around the world.

The DHS Interact club is participating in the Pennies for Polio program again this year and has pledged to fill 25 jars with pennies by the end of February.  Last year, they were able to donate over $350!  Please help the interact members achieve their 2017-2018 goal!

The mission of the Dickinson Independent School District is to ensure that all students have successful learning opportunities that help them reach their full potential and add quality throughout their lives.
