Something I deeply cherish

If there is one thing thing that I cherish as much as teaching your students how to read, write, and be critical math thinker...

It's teaching & showing them how to be compassionate, practice kindness, and being proud of themselves.

Teaching children about their social and emotional needs isn't easy.

But it is so worth it!

I have heard many people say that young kids can't process their emotions at such a young of an age.

I simply do not agree.

I have seen firsthand the benefits of what this kind of teaching can do for students. It affects so many parts of their lives:

how they speak to each other, how they face difficult things, how they view themselves, how they solve conflicts, and so much more.

This year I couldn't be happier that we are using the CharacterStrong curriculum which goes beyond just teaching what the Skill is but really gets to the heart of how to apply and live that skill.

We believe that education should help to create young people who are not only competent in math, science, and reading – but also students who are compassionate, empathetic, and kind. Our character, like any other muscle in our body, can get stronger with intentional, consistent practice. That’s why we made CharacterStrong – we believe that the best way to make a difference in our schools and communities is to provide real, accessible ways to exercise our social-emotional skills.

CharacterStrong helps us forge meaningful relationships, build positive community, focus on social-emotional learning, and develop character.

You got this,
