Beanstack

Hughes Road Elementary students use Beanstack to log books and minutes they are reading. Students receive rewards throughout the year for reaching reading milestones logged in Beanstack.  Please click here for how to add the Beanstack app to a device at home!

Grade-Level Challenges

PreK-K classes are challenged to read all 20 books from TLA's 2x2 list as a class.  Classes that meet the challenge will receive an ice-cream party at the end of the year.

1st graders are encouraged to participate in the Great Escape Beanstack Challenge to earn rewards for reaching minute milestones.

2nd and 3rd graders have opportunities to earn brag tags for each book they read on the 2x2 list and Big Al list, respectively.

Students who complete quizzes on the Big Al List may be eligible to join us for our annual battle of the books, the Big Al Book Bash, in May.

Monthly Challenges

Our library often promotes monthly challenges for students to earn extra Inchy the Bookworm coins.  These challenges are shared with families via ClassDojo as well as our HRES Facebook page.
