Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year.  My name is Janet Klein and this is my ninth year teaching.  I received my BA Degree in History and my teacher certification from UHCL in 2012.  Prior to teaching, I was a full time Mom for many years and then worked as a legal secretary for 9 years.  It was always my dream to teach history so I returned to school and completed my education.  I had a student ask me once why I waited so long to get my dream.  I told her we are allowed more than one dream per lifetime and now was the time for this one.

In my time here at DHS I have taught World Geography, Pre-AP World Geography and AP Human Geography.  I then moved to the History team and have taught World History, Pre-AP World History and, starting last year, AP World History - Modern.  My schedule for this year is posted below. 

I'm looking forward to this year with all of it's challenges.  I'm really looking forward to meeting my new students whether it be virtual or face-to-face.  GO GATORS!!
