Welcome! I am Detric Dotson the Behavior Coach at Silbernagel Elementary. I am excited about this year and new challenges we will overcome together. Challenges make us stronger, especially when they are tough challenges.
I grew up in La Marque, Texas and graduated from La Marque High School class of 2000. While in high school I participated in a number of activities and organizations on and off campus, but I enjoyed playing basketball and soccer the most. My collegiate educational experience consists of the following institutions: Prairie View A&M University, College of the Mainland, University of North Texas, and Lamar University.
This is my second year in as a Behavior Coach, and my fourth year in Dickinson. I like to focus on what we can do rather than what's stopping us from getting stronger. This year will be a little different from others in the past, however we will overcome all the new obstacles together! Restorative Practices, Character Strong, and a couple of other curriculum are what I use to educate our students who are a part of the Behavior Learning Program. I look forward to working with you this year, and I know we will accomplish all of our goals this year!
