I am here if you need me--by email, through Remind, or by phone. Thank you for everything you do!
Listed below are some wonderful educational websites that your student can do from home. Please encourage your child to spend some time on these everyday!
- Teach Your Monster to Read. This is a great site to help kids practice their phonics skills and learn to read. You must use the following link to access our class. Students will login using only their first name (no password needed). www.teachyourmonstertoread.com/u/2419020
- Epic. This site is full of books for kids to practice reading. There are also books that students can listen to (under the Read to Me tab). Many of the books have a quiz at the end to help students with their comprehension. Go to www.getepic.com, click login, then students and educators. Students will type in our class code npt6368 and then select their name.
- iRead. This is another great reading program that we use in class and adjusts automatically based on the specific skills the student is working on. Students will use their regular login information, just like they do at school. https://www.hmhco.com/one/login/?connection=01018969
- Prodigy. This is the math program that we use at school. It looks like a video game, but students are doing math as they play! The students love it! Students can login with google (click on the rainbow G is what I tell students). They will have to login to their google account initially, and then after that they will be able to just click login with google, and then their name. Their google login is their district ID (followed by @apps.dickinsonisd.org) and their regular password they use to login to the computer at school. Please email me if you need this information.
