Welcome to the Dunbar Middle School Library! My name is Jaime Garcia. I am entering my 18th year in education. I taught for 11 years in LaPorte ISD, was a librarian in Pasadena ISD for 4 years, and am starting my third year in Dickinson ISD at Dunbar Middle School.

I attended the University of Houston-Clear Lake to obtain both my Bachelor's degree in Psychology, as well as my Master's degree in Early Childhood Education. I am also attending Texas Tech right now to obtain another Masters degree. I am a life-long learner! After teaching all subjects for many years, I decided that my passion was books and reading so I went back to UHCL and obtained my librarian certification.

I have been married for 18 years and have one adult son. I have four dogs, a turtle, a kitten, 5 chickens, and a leopard gecko. I love reading, spending time with my family outside, and learning new things.
