Hello Lobit Gators and Families!

My name is Mrs. Jayla A. Weatherspoon, and I am honored to serve as the PK–5 School Counselor at Lobit Elementary. With over 20 years in education, my heart is rooted in helping children grow socially, emotionally, and academically.

I believe every child deserves a safe place to learn, express themselves, and feel valued. My work focuses on building confidence, teaching healthy coping skills, and supporting students through every milestone of their elementary journey. I partner closely with teachers and families to ensure each child receives the encouragement, tools, and guidance they need to thrive.

At Lobit, I strive to create a warm, welcoming environment where students know they are seen, heard, and supported. I am grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside our Lobit Longhorns as they learn, lead, and shine.
