First Day of School

It is right around the corner and the McAdams team is ready. The first few days in a traditional school setting are about relationship building, fixing and changing class schedules, and getting to know the rules of the school. This is what students will experience the first couple of days of online school. We will need to train students on technology applications and software, create classroom relationships, and go over academic expectations, etc.

Resources and assignments can be found on my Google Classroom Site.

Below is the link to our classroom site:

  • Please let me know if you are experiencing any hardships or need my support or resources, so that I can connect you with people to help you if I cannot help you myself.
  • Focus on learning how to use zoom, and use google classroom. I am here if you guys need me! I am only an email away. I know that some of you might be a little nervous, about returning to school, but remember that we will be socially distancing and WEARING our MASK at all times, for the safety for all.

Office Hours: Daily 10:00-11:00

Parents,

Weather your child will be attending school face-to-face or virtually, I encourage you to begin putting structures in place including morning and evening time routines, 8-10 hours of sleep each night and a clean, quiet work area.  If your child will be attending school virtually, please begin talking with them about behavior expectations while attending zoom classes such as maintaining respect in speaking and appearance, finding a quiet spot to connect to zoom class and muting their microphone when the meeting starts.  I have also provided several resources that provide online, interactive activities to keep students thinking and learning, as well as focused on positive behaviors.

Communication:

Parents will receive a phone call from me once a week to check-in and ensure lessons are being taught and to offer guidance or suggestions on behaviors that might arise during this time.  Parents will also receive weekly behavior management tips.
