Welcome To English 3

I'm so excited to have you as a student this year! This is my 14th year of teaching and my fourth year at Dickinson High School. 

I love English class because it’s all about communication skills, and strong communication skills are one of the keys to effectiveness and success in life.

I'm looking forward to getting to know each of you better over the course of the year as we grow together in the five key areas of reading, writing, listening, speaking, and thinking.

I grew up in Texas City, went to high school at Alexander Smith Academy in Houston, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where I attended on a full athletic scholarship in men’s gymnastics.

When I’m not at school, I enjoy reading, woodworking, playing guitar, and spending time with my wife Rhonda (who is also a teacher) and our six children -- Madison (16), Karis (14), Carson (12), William (10), Emory (8), and Gracie (3).

2nd Period: CONFERENCE (8:05 am - 8:50 am)

Gator Time: (8:55 - 9:25)

3rd Period: English 3  (9:30 am -10:15 am)

4th Period:  English 2  (10:20 am - 11:05 am)

5th Period:  English 2  (11:10 pm - 12:45 pm)

6th Period:  English 2  (12:50 pm -1:40 pm)

7th Period:  English 2  (1:45 pm - 2:35 pm)
