My name is Leonard Durand and I teach 7th grade PreAP, 7th and 8th grade Math Lab at McAdams JHS. This is my 5th year teaching and 4th year coaching. I am very passionate about teaching, coaching and mentoring minds here at McAdams JHS. I incorporate a sports theme in my classroom to build on the two hobbies that helped to build me into the man I am today. I graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelors in Kinesiology and minor in Math. I have my Masters of Business Administration with a focus in Accounting and I am currently working on my Masters of Education with an emphasis in Higher Education. I am a member of the Iron Man Club Inc. in which we mentor, tutor and provide an outlet for students to be themselves and build their character. 

        I love incorporating technology and collaboration in my teaching. My math classes utilize many different resources in order to provide the students with multiple guides for practice and learning. I look forward to this year!
