About Mrs. Koby
I have always had an interest in television production even as a child. I had the opportunity to take a class just like this one in high school. I went on to pursue a degree in Broadcast Production from Sam Houston State University where I also received a minor in Photography. I have worked in many different aspects of the Communications Industry from Social Media Coordinator to Associate Producer at Fox 26 Houston and everything in between. As well as owning a small production company.
I have been at Dickinson H.S. for 5 years. This year, I am teaching 2 different classes. Principles of Video Technology and the brand new Commercial Photography classes. In the past I have taught the Audio/Video Production 1 class, which is the intro course to our A/V Program.
There are two Koby’s on campus. Mr. Koby and I oversee Gator Nation Media. Gator Nation Media is a student run production course. Students are taught real world experiences and guided through the process of running live production, film making and photography
Mr. Koby and I have two dogs, Dug and Akela. They are rescues from a Taco Bell parking lot and are inseparable.
