Kids can use the left over plastic Easter eggs taken apart to build tall towers.
This early Easter Stem project can be done using only Play Doh and plastic Easter eggs.  Use the Play Doh to hook the eggs together and make the tallest tower.

Challenge Instructions

  • Use regular copy paper, not card stock for this challenge.
  • Fold each paper into the three shapes and secure with tape.
  • Slowly pile books on top of each shape.
You only need a few easy-to-find materials: newspaper, masking tape, and a basketball. The challenge is simple to grasp: build a tower out of newspaper and masking tape that will support a basketball. Don’t be fooled, though, it is harder than it seems!
This paper rocket project would be great with these windy days.

Build a raft from recycled materials – for older children specify a particular weight the raft should hold.

Extra challenge – build a raft using three different materials, find a way to move the raft over water.

WATER BALLOON LANDING PAD

Create a landing pad for a water balloon so it doesn’t break. This is great fun and less messy than the egg version! Just use different materials ( recycled is good ) and see which stop the water balloon breaking when it hits the ground.
