Ready, Set, Teach I & II

This class is a field-based internship that provides students with background knowledge of child development as well as principles of effective teaching and teaching practices.  Students work under the joint direction and supervision of both a teacher with knowledge of early childhood education and exemplary educators or trainers in direct instructional roles with elementary- aged students.  Students learn to plan and direct individualized instruction and group activities, prepare instructional materials, develop materials for educational environments, assist with record keeping, and complete other responsibilities of teachers, trainers, paraprofessionals, or other educational personnel.

TAFE

Students enrolled in CTE courses are encouraged to join and participate in Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSO).  As a requirement of RST, students will join Texas Association of Future Educators (TAFE).  

We will meet once a week during CHOMP time.  As the year progresses, we will become more involved, host fundraisers, and a select group of students will attend competitions.
