CMSgt Cyndee Frank is coming to us from Westbury High School, Houston Independent School District, with 9 years of Air Force Junior ROTC (AFJROTC) teaching experience. Her preferred subjects in AFJROTC is Leadership Education and coaching extra curricular activities such as Color Guard, Physical Fitness, and Awareness Presentation Teams (APT) (just to name a few).
Chief Frank joined the United States Air Force in Seattle Washington, where she was raised. She enlisted in 1981 and retired in 2011. During her 30 years of military service she held several different career fields. When she began she was a Telephone Cable Slicer (yes, she climbed telephone poles and dug ditches). A few years later, when she decided to begin a family, she decided climbing telephone poles was a little dangerous so she cross-trained into the Personnel and Administrative career fields. During this time she served as an Orderly Room Clerk, Retention Manager, Enlistments Clerk, Recruiter, First Sergeant, and retired as the Chief of Personnel in the Mission Support Squadron.
Chief Frank's first duty station was Tinker Air Force Base (AFB), Oklahoma City, OK. She also served at McConnell AFB, Wichita, KS; Luke AFB, Phoenix, AZ, and Ellington Field, Houston, TX where she retired. Chief Frank continued her education while serving at these bases by attending college at night. She completed her Associates Degree in Human Resources from the Community College of the Air Force; Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Northwood University (cum laude); and her Masters Degree in Business Administration from LeTourneau University (cum laude). Chief Frank also attended Professional Military Education In-Residence Courses in the Airman Leadership Course (Honor Graduate); Non-Commissioned Officers Academy (Commandants Award); and the Senior Non-Commissioned Officers Academy (Distinguished Graduate/Top 10% of the Graduating Class). She is currently pursuing the Advanced Instructor Certification to enhance her AFJROTC teaching abilities. As you can tell, Chief Frank appreciates continuing education.
