2020-2021 is my first year in Gator Nation! This school year will be challenging and our path to the end won't be straight, but I can't wait to get to know all of you and have some fun in Biology.
I have always loved science! I have a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from Texas A&M University at Galveston and a Master of Science in Oceanography from Texas A&M University. My science experience also includes working on commercial fishing boats in the Bering Sea, conducting medical research, investigating sub-arctic and arctic ecosystems, and managing an environmental education program at a local non-profit.
Science has also provided the opportunity to travel. I've explored many beautiful cities throughout the U.S. while attending science conferences. I particularly enjoyed traveling to conduct research. I've traveled internationally to the North Pole, Sweden, and Inuvik (northern Canada), but I've also visited Dutch Harbor, Kotzebue, Barrow, and the Toolik Field station (Alaska).
