Marcella Chambers- LMS Counselor

Hello Lobit Middle School families! I am proud to be Lobit’s School Counselor! This school year will be my 13th year in education and my 8th year as a School Counselor. I taught Dual Language Math and Science for 5 years. I also coached volleyball and basketball for 8 years. I am currently working on my hours to be a Licensed Professional Counselor so I am an LPC-Associate for now.

I love teaching our students healthy coping skills and strategies to deal with the difficulties of life. I think many of our kids need to learn to verbalize the beauty that is inside of them. Teaching them how to be confident and teaching them to learn to love oneself is so important not just for now but for their entire life. I also teach kids conflict resolution and have them practice social skills that will help them in the future. I have lunch groups as well as individual counseling. We also have many resources if you are interested in outside therapy or counseling.

My husband and I have 3 kids under 3 years old and I love playing outside with my children. I do not have much free time but when I do, I like to work out and garden. If you ever need anything please call me at 281.229.7713 or you can email me at mchambers@dickinsonisd.org I am excited for the 2023-2024 school year!  I look forward to meeting with each student and getting to know them better!  Let’s have a great year!  Go Gators!
