Mrs. Jennifer Heard has been a proud member of the Calder Road Elementary family since its opening in 2010. With 30 years of experience in education and entering her fourth year as principal, she brings a wealth of knowledge, passion, and dedication to her role. Throughout her career, she has taught students from Pre-K through 12th grade, but her heart firmly belongs to elementary education.
Mrs. Heard believes deeply in setting high expectations for all students and knows that, when given the right support and encouragement, children will rise to meet them. She finds true joy in serving young learners and is passionate about helping each child reach their full potential.
She sees Calder as a truly special place, a school where every learner can thrive, feel valued, and grow. Her commitment to building a positive, inclusive, and achievement-focused culture is at the heart of everything she does as a leader for the Calder community.
