The Campus-based military liaison serves as the point of contact and works collaboratively between military-connected students and their families and the campus staff. They maintain familiarity with enrollment processes, records transfer, use of military student identifier (MSI), existing community resources, and student support.

transition

We are excited to welcome you to our school district. During your individual planning meeting with either your school counselor or campus registrar, you will build a schedule to meet your needs and interests.  You will be offered the extracurricular and clubs available at this meeting. Our campuses are trained to provide you with a welcoming transitioning experience. A campus ambassador will provide you support during the transition. Our ambassadors team includes staff and students.  Your assigned ambassador will provide you a tour, walk through your schedule, introduce you to key staff and point out important locations such as restrooms, cafeteria, gym, emergency exits, etc... Our goal is for you to feel included and connected starting on your first day. At any time, if you have a questions or need support your campus liaison, school counselor, key personnel or the campus ambassador team will be your contact.

Tutoring

Dickinson ISD has built in intervention time into their daily schedule.  Your child will receive additional support during this time depending on their needs and progress. If additional opportunities become available throughout the school year for tutoring you will receive notification. We utilize Schoology which is a technology platform that students access for assignments. Your child's Schoology account will have additional resources available to support them.
