Dickinson ISD utilizes online social media tools on a daily basis to help distribute information to the online population. Currently we have around 30,000 followers that look at our social media pages on a daily basis. This communication channel is important to DISD as it is a very fast and reliable tool for which to distribute information to parents and community members.

Dickinson ISD's use of social media is still fairly new, and is changing daily as the functionality improves and morphs to keep up with new technology. The district has several official accounts on different networks including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Flickr.

Facebook is used to distribute photos, videos, information updates, blogs, offers and more. The primary audience of Facebook are the parents and guardians of Dickinson ISD.
