Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year!!! It is a privilege to take Algebra I as an 8^th grader; this course is equivalent to a PAP course at the high school!  As such, this course will have a higher level of rigor and students will be expected to dive deeper into their level of understanding.  During our course, we will also be spiraling in 8^th grade standards.  Students will be expected and challenged to do THEIR BEST on all notes, assignments, tests, and projects.  Again, it is very important that students understand that their effort and focus is more necessary than ever because high school credit should be EARNED. STEM students will continue to collaborate, create, think critically, communicate and reflect daily. Students will be given every opportunity to be very well prepared for the future. We are partners, with you, working together with great expectations for our STEM Gators.

Describing and Graphing Linear Functions, Equations and Inequalities

Quadratic Functions and Equations

Exponential Functions and Equations

The above standards will be covered over the course of eleven units.  Student’s math comp book will include: their notes, a description of each unit as well as a data tracker; they will use these documents to track their progress.
