Mr. O’Leary’s Distance Learning Plan

Distance Learning Schedule 3/23-3/27

Distance learning is the new norm. The problem is, nobody is actually sure how to get it done. So, I ask students and parents to have patience in these trying times, for myself and fellow teachers. I am trying to present you with material that can be engaging for all you shut-ins. I am asking your to turn in all completed work by Friday at 5. That way you have nothing to do on the weekends, and you should not! Enjoy weekends! I am trying to parse out activities and lessons for each day so you can give yourself a schedule. Video games and Netflix binging has it’s place. But I know I start to get a  little loony if that is ALL I DO for hours on end. It’s good to plan out your day, break it up. So I think if you work 30-40 minutes each day on my Social Studies activities and turn them in by Friday, it will provide you with a healthy schedule throughout the week.

This is the plan for the week. I will give you a detailed video explaining what you should do throughout the week. I would watch that first. Each week will post a video with notes, with myself lecturing for a bit so those of you who learn that way can get that opportunity. You may take notes in your notebook. It will only help. But I am only asking you to turn in answers to discussion questions. There is one reading/worksheet activity that you can download at the beginning of the week. You can probably complete the work with the reading that’s in the packet but below I will post a link to the textbook that you may use to find more material.

Thanks for you patience. I miss you guys! I hope to see you soon.
