Hello Everyone! I am RoxAnne Ellison the 5th and 6th grade Art Teacher here at Barber. I have been a teacher since 2009 and love what I do. In our art room, we work on developing our art skills as well as our character. I bleed GATOR BLUE! My son is a Gator and he plays football and runs track. I have a daughter named Joy who is a student at DISD.

Course: 5th and 6th Grade Art
Instructional goals: To teach the elements of Art, principles of design and develop their awareness of art history; allow students to experiment with a variety of mediums and learn how they can apply them vocationally.

Makeup/Late work Policy: All make up work must be completed by the end of the 9 week grading period. All late work will be accepted up to every 3rd, 6th, & 9th grading period.
Materials: All students enrolled in 6th grade Art are asked to bring in baby wipes and a spiral bound sketchbook, as well as colored pencils and markers.
Consequences: Verbal warning, assigned seating, call home, SWAMP violations
Rewards: Free Time, Extra Credit
Academic Dishonesty Policy: The student’s parent will be notified, and the student will be given an alternate assignment; maximum grade a student can earn on that assignment will be a 70.
