Welcome to 6th grade science! I am so excited to meet you all and share my love of all things science with you. I am entering my 10th year of teaching this year. I have taught science in grades 3-6 over the past 9 years. My love of science started well before I was a teacher. You could say science runs in my blood. I grew up just down the street in League City and graduated from Clear Creek High School. I then went on to ACC (Alvin Community Collage), and finally graduated from U of H Clear Lake with my Bachelors in Education.  My Father is an engineer at NASA so space science holds a special spot in my heart. I am now married with two beautiful daughters. My oldest Mekaila just started her freshman year in high school and my youngest Ashleigh is in 2nd grade. I am so proud to still be living here in south Houston and it is an honor to serve the community that helped to shape me. My hope for your child this school year is to help deepen their curiosity about the World around them near and far. I hope to encourage and support  them as they challenge their skills and thinking, giving them a safe place to take intellectual risks and having fun exploring the world of science.
I hope this webpage helps to answer any questions you might have about me or my class. I have included my class phone number and  a link to email me if you should have any questions or concerns. I will be using Skyward to send important reminders through out the year, so please be sure that there is a good email address in that system. The office can help you with Skyward should you need it. I will also try to keep updates of important events here on my webpage as well. Please do not hesitate to contact me with anything through out the year. The best way to reach me is email but a phone call is fine to. I know that with all of us working together, we can make this the best year yet!
