Hello!

My name is Denali Cottle. This is my 5th year teaching and I have been lucky to start at Lobit the first year it was founded. I love that your kiddo is joining our classroom family in Room A105.  I am so excited for the journey we will go on this year in 2nd grade!

I am engaged to Mr. Fanos, we will get married this summer in Mexico. We live in League City with our kids, Kenna (12) and Evan (8) and our Goldendoodle Penelope. We enjoy traveling, sushi, DIYing, and spending time with friends and family.

UPDATE:

Hi Parents! In order to move into distance learning (for the time being), I have created a Google Classroom. Please look below or on the Remind App to find instructions on how to access it. If you have any questions, as always you can email me at dcottle@dickinsonisd.org or a quicker response would be to contact me via the Remind App. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns! I already miss all those smiling faces!!

Google Classroom:

Hi everyone. I created a Google Classroom for students to write me and reach out to each other. We would love to stay connected and see how everyone is doing through this unusual experience.

Through Google Classroom, have a GOOD NEWS post at the bottom where children can tell me each day their good news. This is something we did most mornings in class. A small goal is for the students to type their good news each morning through the website.

I will also have classroom assignments at the top starting next weekI do not have any expectations for assignments as of right now. I will try to add some weekly.

If you have any questions, e-mail or message me on the Remind app. miss the kiddos!

How to Set Up?

It is easy to access once you set it up!

1. Go to classroom.google.com

2. You as a parent cannot sign in. Your child has to sign in with their school e-mail. If you do not know their school e-mail, it is at the top of their profile page in Skyward. All student usernames and passwords follow a common formula.

Username: DISD(all caps)lunch number @apps.dickinsonisd.org

Password: DisdBirthday Ex:Disd08311987

3. Push the plus button to join our classroom. Type in our code. bewp4ab

You are in! If you struggle with it, check out this video that our technology department set up.

Office Hours:

I will be available from 9-11am Monday-Wednesday and Fridays to answer any questions you have.  Thursday's office hours are 10am-12pm.  You can contact me in the following ways:

Phone: 832-780-9512. If I do not answer, leave a message and I will get back with you. **Please do not call after office hours. Email or Remind only.

Email: dcottle@dickinsonisd.org

Remind 101: If you still do not have access, please let me know by emailing me.  Please include a valid phone number and email address in your message.

How to connect on Websites:

All programs we use can be found on the Dickinson ISD Symbaloo.

EPIC: class code msn5402

Prodigy:Click on SIGN IN WITH GOOGLE. Your child will need to sign in with their DISD google account.  Every student in Dickinson ISD has a google account. Their username is DISD plus their 6 digit student number (lunch number) (DISD######).  Their password is Disd plus their eight digit birthdate (DisdMMDDYYYY). The first time they sign in with their google email address which is their username (DISD######@apps.dickinsonisd.org) and password (DisdMMDDYYYY). Your computer will hopefully save this information so you don't have to go through all that again. **If you are having trouble logging in, please let me know so I can help you!**

The mission of the Dickinson Independent School District is to ensure that all students have successful learning opportunities that help them reach their full potential and add quality throughout their lives.
