ABOUT ME:
My name is Carrie Davis and I am so excited to be directing choir for another year at McAdams Junior High. I love being a Gator!
I earned my Music Education degree from Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Tx in 2009. Since then I have worked all over the Houston area, including Waller, Pasadena, and Alvin. In 2017, I married my wonderful husband, Tom, and moved to Santa Fe, Tx. This will be my 10th year teaching choir.
In addition to making music, I enjoy being outdoors (when it's not too hot!), playing board games, and crafting! I also play the clarinet and piano, and have acted in numerous community theatre productions.
I sincerely believe your child will have a great year in choir. Being a musician teaches a multitude of skills that your student will use for the rest of their life. I look forward to watching the MJH choral students flourish!
REMOTE LEARNING:
Please know that your student will have numerous ways to still be active and participate in our performance-based class. Choir will look a bit different this year, but we are coming up with innovative ways to support their learning! I will do my best to give your child the choral experience virtually, until we can meet in person again.
While learning virtually, it is important for us to keep track of what your student is doing at home and how long it is taking them to complete assignments. Please use the link below to log your student's work at home. You may print out the PDF, or simply recreate something that looks like it with pen and paper. THANK YOU, parents, for all you are doing to help us facilitate your student's learning during this time!
