"The difference between a successful person and others is not the lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will."
My goals for my students for the 2018-19 school year is to grow their math skills beyond the 7th grade level and strive to develop positive leaders in preparation for the future.
We will be successful this year by setting specific goals and attacking each task with maximum EFFORT. Students will learn to persevere through adversity using problem-solving skills and collaborating with others. "Messing-up" is encouraged so that we may learn from our mistakes.
We will strive to be better today than we were the day before.
The 2018-19 school year will be my second year in Dickinson ISD. My previous stops include a year at Blocker Middle School, followed by 3 years in Galveston ISD at Central Middle School. I am a 2003 graduate of Ball High School and 2008 graduate of Rhodes College in Memphis, TN with a major in Urban Studies and minor in African-American History.
I was a varsity letter winner in baseball and football during high school, as well as, a three year letter winner in football at Rhodes College. My love for sports and competition has led me to coaching today's youth, including football, basketball, track, and golf.
I also enjoy watching movies and tv while "chillin" on my couch.
My favorite foods are ice cream, hamburgers, and Chicken wings.
University of Texas fan.
