PASS is a Positive Approach to Student Success! Our goal is to help all students find a way to succeed in school with a positive behavior supports. The PASS Program dedicates time each day to teaching students appropriate ways to handle interactions that are part of the school day.
I have been involved in Positive Behavior Interventions in the school setting since starting my career in teaching 10 years ago. I've been part of a PASS Program for over half of that time. Before I started work as a PASS teacher, I taught Science, Math, PE, Reading & Language Arts, Social Studies and spent a couple years in a Self-Contained classroom where all subjects were taught. I have found that my passion in school is helping students learn how to be more successful by finding appropriate ways to handle the interactions that take place during the school day. These interactions include both positive and negative interactions with peers, staff, administration, and even parents and siblings at home as well other areas. Students are able to learn more each day they are in school when they are able to spend more time in class with peers and teachers. I love being able to help students (and classroom teachers too) find ways to be successful!
